Congratulations on your big day! Choosing the perfect location for your wedding is important, and we know that having it at the Garden of the Gods could make it truly unforgettable. Here's everything you need to know about tying the knot at this spot.

What is Garden of the Gods?
Garden of the Gods is a public park located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, known for its red rock formations, stunning views, and variety of recreational activities, including hiking, rock climbing, biking, and horseback riding, making it a popular park.
Why choose Garden of the Gods for your wedding?
It's free! The Garden of the Gods provides a breathtaking backdrop for a wedding ceremony. There are several locations that are ideal for a wedding ceremony, including the Central Garden, South Spring Canyon, and the High Point Overlook. We got married at the High Point Overlook! The Central Garden offers a more intimate setting, South Spring Canyon can accommodate a larger crowd, while the High Point Overlook provides a stunning view of the park and the surrounding mountains.

What you need to know before getting married at Garden of the Gods:
Permits
If you plan to get married at the Garden of the Gods, you will need to obtain a permit for a photographer or wedding planner. The best part about getting married there is not just the view but it's also free. Because it is free, weddings come on a first-come first served basis. The downside to this is that you can not reserve a spot.
Weather
The weather in Colorado can be unpredictable, so it's essential to have a backup plan. Luckily for us, it was sunny and beautiful. But two days before and about four days after it was full of gray skies, snow, and rain. Be prepared for temperature changes, wind, and snow or rain storms.
Accessibility
The Garden of the Gods is a public park, and accessibility may be a concern for some guests. Some locations may require hiking on uneven terrain, so make sure you have visited the location you've chosen.
Photography
The Garden of the Gods provides a stunning backdrop for photography, but you will need to obtain a permit for commercial photography, including wedding photography. However, if it's just your friends and family just like we had, they can take as many pictures and videos as they want.
Lodging
Colorado Springs offers a variety of lodging options, including hotels, resorts, and Air B&Bs. It's essential to book your accommodation and transportation in advance, especially if you plan to get married during peak season. You don't want to get stuck paying hundreds of dollars for a room because you booked last minute.
Getting married at the Garden of the Gods will be an experience that you will never forget. However, it's essential to plan ahead, obtain the necessary permits, and prepare for the weather and accessibility concerns. You will have a beautiful and unforgettable wedding at this stunning location.
