Diaper Bag Essentials: What to Pack in Your Diaper Bag

Welcome back or welcome to my blog! Have no idea what to pack in your diaper bag, no problem! I'm here to make sure your bag is stocked with essentials.

Diaper bag essentials. Carrier, swaddle, teething toys, bottle, sanitizer, burp cloth, extra outfits, diapers, wipes, diaper bag.

As a new parent, you may find yourself wondering what to pack in your diaper bag. Making sure that your diaper bag is stocked with all the essentials is key to a worry-free outing with your little babe. Here are the top 17 items you'll need and what I pack in my diaper bag:

The Diaper Bag Itself: Make sure your diaper bag is spacious, durable, and comfortable to carry. We love all of the storage and pockets in our bag, it's a plus it comes with a changing pad!

Diapers: Bring more than you think you'll need, just in case.

Wet Wipes: These are perfect for cleaning up messes; you can never have too many.

Burp Cloths: For those spit-up situations.

Two Outfits: Babies can be messy, so it's a good idea to pack an extra set of clothes for your babe in case of spills, spit-ups, or diaper leaks.

Swaddle: Great for calming babies or keeping them warm. We LOVED our Halo swaddle.

Baby Sling: Hands-free way to carry your babe and keep them close. Perfect for restaurants, shopping, and walking!

Hand Sanitizer: It's important to keep your hands clean, so pack a small bottle of sanitizer!

Pacifier and Clip: If your baby uses a pacifier, make sure to bring a spare and a clip to keep it attached to their clothes. We also use a pacifier sanitizer which is amazing!

Toys: A toy or two can come in handy when your baby needs a distraction or starts teething!

Chapstick and Lip-gloss: For those chapped lips and quick touch-ups.

Changing Pad: A clean and safe place to change your baby's diaper.

Nail Clippers: Tiny nails grow fast, so bring a pair of clippers to keep them trimmed.

Hair Ties: When kiddos start grabbing your hair, these are a lifesaver.

Ziploc Baggie: Perfect for storing dirty clothes or dirty diapers.

Bottles and Formula or Breastmilk: If your baby is bottle-fed, make sure to pack enough bottles, and formula or breastmilk.

Snacks: If your baby is old enough to eat solid foods, pack some healthy snacks like puree pouches or fruits and vegetables.

Nursing Poncho: Useful when breastfeeding your baby. Or if you're like me, on a long trip when I need to feed or change my little guy I hang it up in front of my car windows.

These are just a few of the essentials that you may want to consider packing in your diaper bag. Don't forget these are just recommendations, personalize your bag to fit your baby's specific needs. With a stocked diaper bag, you will feel prepared for anything!
